Most of what we redesign used to belong to someone else

A grandmother’s ring that no longer fits. A wedding set from a marriage that ended. A diamond from one side of the family and gold from the other, sitting in a box because nobody knew what to do with it.

People bring these to us because they want to wear them again, not keep them in a drawer. Sometimes that means restoring the piece exactly as it was. Sometimes it means taking the stones out and starting over. We will talk through both.

Heirloom stones cannot be replaced, and most people have heard a story about a stone that came back from a jeweler looking different. That is why we do not send anything out.

We look at your piece with you before any work starts. The stones are designed around, set, and finished at our bench in the back of the shop, by Ray, who has been doing this for 41 years. The piece you hand us is the piece you get back.

Bring the piece in

Bring the ring, the loose stones, the old chains, or a box of all of it. We look at everything with you.

We sketch it

We draw the new piece out with you, so you can see it before anything is made.

You approve it

Nothing is melted, cut, or cast until you say yes.

We make it here

Cast, set, and finished at our bench. Your stones stay in our shop the whole time.

Yes. It is one of the most common things we do. Bring the ring in, we look at the diamond with you, and then we design a new setting around it. You approve the design before anything is made.

Often, yes. We have made rings from gold collected across a whole family. At the first sit-down we look at what you have and tell you honestly whether it is suited to the piece you want.

Your stones never leave our shop. We look at them with you before any work starts, and every step happens at our bench in Monument. Nothing is shipped to a workshop somewhere else.

Yes. Worn prongs, thin bands, missing stones, and scratches can all be repaired so the ring looks the way it did, just able to be worn again.

Plenty of people bring those rings to us. The diamond can be reset into a new ring or a pendant, and the gold can be used again. Some people keep nothing of the original design. It is your call.

It depends on the piece. A simple reset is quicker than a ring built from scratch. We give you a date when you approve the design.

It depends on the design and on how much of your own metal and stones we can use. You get a price before anything is made.
